Exciting new position open for an experienced biodiversity monitoring expert in ZSL's Monitoring and Technology team.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead provision of technical support on biodiversity monitoring to a diverse range of conservation partners, including governments, businesses, ZSL field teams, and other NGOs.
It promises to be a stimulating and varied role, e.g., immediate projects include a) scoping methods and tech for monitoring biodiversity and evaluating corporate impact across the British rail network, and b) large mammal surveys in Maiombe National Park, Angola (with field work commencing in September this year.)
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience monitoring diverse taxa using a range of methods (including camera trapping and passive acoustic monitoring), an advanced degree in a relevant subject, and strong research skills (e.g., in data science).
