Module 7: Testing and Piloting

Welcome to the seventh module of our Build Your Own Data Logger virtual course. In this module, we take our fully assembled system into the lab, sandbox and pilot test environments.

In Module 7, we take our fully assembled system into the lab, sandbox and pilot test environments. We go through the purpose of each environment, running accelerated testing and some general tips. We also troubleshoot common issues such as shorter-than-expected battery life, inaccurate readings and missed readings.

If you have questions while working through this module, you can ask your question in the Module 7 forum thread here.

Coming up in Module 8

In our final module of the course, we’ll look at useful equipment for repairs and electronic development away from the lab. We’ll also discuss how to debug in the field.
