We need to set up a wildlife monitoring network based on camera traps in Doñana National Park, Spain (see alsowildlifeobservatory.org). We are interested in setting up a network of cameras connected to a server via WIFI in this large area to centralize and process the information. The long range WIFI is really good of this flat area and covers all surface. We aim to collect in real time information from many cameras.
Do you have experience in camera trap networks which can work and send automatically information via WIFI in such contexts?
Thanks

Campark, Tactacam & NatureSpy have Wifi-enabled trail cams I believe, but I have not actually tested these out. Most of the big companies (Bushnell, Reconyx, Browning, etc.) use Bluetooth or cellular for connectivity from what I've seen, rather than WiFi.

Hello Joaquin,
Our non-profit organization, Wildlife Protection Solutions would be happy to help you by providing information and insight for you. We establish real-time camera trap networks all over the globe, and often are able to help by donating hardware to get you started. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to speak with one of my staff about the project.
Thanks,
Eric Schmidt
