WILDLABS

Meet Our Team

WILDLABS has a growing team of staff members hosted across our partner organisations. Beyond our core team, we work with a fantastic network of collaborators who join us to create and deliver a variety of programmes.

Stephanie O'Donnell
WILDLABS Programme Lead

As the WILDLABS Programme Lead since its creation in 2015, Stephanie guides the community and oversees the big picture programmes. Engaging with the community is central to the WILDLABS platform, and Stephanie focuses on making every programme effective, interactive, and connected to the wider conservation tech world. With an eye on long-term programme development and community support, Stephanie knows how to direct resources to where they can make the biggest impact, and builds connections to make that impact possible. In her free time, she enjoys illustration, cultivating her jungle of plants, and going for long walks with her dog Bill in the countryside around her home in Cambridge, UK.

Talia Speaker
WILDLABS Research

As the WILDLABS Research Lead, Talia is spearheading our efforts to harness the collective expertise of this global community to illuminate the rapidly evolving state of conservation technology in its many forms. With an undergraduate education in wildlife ecology and an MSc in global environmental leadership, Talia brings to our team an understanding of both the human and ecological dimensions of conservation research. Based in Boulder, Colorado, she enjoys spending time adventuring in the mountains with her partner and dog Poa in any season.

Ellie Warren
WILDLABS Editorial

As WILDLABS’ editorial lead, Ellie creates content that sparks new ideas, tells engaging stories, and expands our community’s opportunities to learn together. While developing programmes like our Fellowships, Ellie considers how showcasing new voices in conservation tech can shape our field’s future, and how the right stories can move our field forward. Based in Los Angeles, California, Ellie has a background in writing and communications, and in her spare time, she enjoys working on screenwriting. Her favorite animals include California condors, raccoons, and squirrels.

Netty Cheruto
WILDLABS East Africa Coordinator

Netty Cheruto is our  WILDLABS East Africa Community Coordinator, based in Nanyuki, Kenya. As the EA Community Coordinator, her work is focused on creating a virtual hub for Conservation Technology players and experts in East Africa and strategically building this space to allow members access and share resources, opportunities, events, and programmes. Having grown up in Kenya, and with a background in Environmental Science, Netty understands the complexities of conservation challenges faced in the East African landscape and hopes to use this understanding to better inform the tailoring of resources for the WILDLABS EA Community members.
