I'm Prithvi, the co-founder of Appiko, a venture with the mission of developing hardware tech for wildlife conservation. I founded Appiko after realizing that there is a lack of sustained seepage of cutting-edge technology into wildlife conservation, especially with developing products that can be bought off the shelf. We've started off with developing camera trap tech for filmmakers, forest officials and researchers. Right now we've passive (detect body heat) and active (detect break of IR beam) motion sensors, both of which are reliable, low-power and app-configurable. We're working on developing a camera trap dedicated to researchers and conservationists in a market dominated by camera traps for hunters. All the tech that we develop is open source. We would love to collaborate with you.
