I'm excited to participate in such a great campaign as United For Wildlife! I knew from the very beginning that it would become a groundbreaking progress. So, eventually, here we are!
Some words about me concerning our subject here: I'm a political scietist with pointed education in Environment and Conservation, I'm a Founder and running my own Project "Let's Talk", I'm also a Chief Specialist of Defense, Mobilization, Interaction with Law Enforcement and Regulatory Agencies and Civil Protection; Head Specialist of Strategic Planning and Investment Policy; and a Specialist of Internal Affairs and mass media. That's the basics I could group in a short message about me, in order to be laconic. If you want to know more about me, check out my pages, add me, follow me :) : https://about.me/sofiatereshchenko & https://gr.linkedin.com/in/sofiatchubenko
A few words about my "Let's Talk" International Project: it's a bilateral project, embracing two greatest challenges of humanity: wildlife crime and education. The first part of the project are the hit points on preventive measures in early education about Environment, Conservation and Wildlife (embodiment of these sciences as must-learn in schools and Universities). The second has to do with the philanthropic work, where children (especially from vulnerable groups of children: with disabilities, war victims, orphans) could have a total access to education as all kids. That includes legal norms that would protect these kids rights to education, their rehabilitation in special schools or children's communities and further assimilation with community.
But going back to Wildlife and Conservation. Personally I have a big interest in drones and defence. Particularly, defence tech gadgets and equipment for the rangers and patrols. My affiliate project "Let's Act" (is at its embryo stage) is precisely directed in activating a lab where people with technological education and knowledge and passion for conservation, passionate to stop wildlife crime and trafficking could have the opportunity to work in their field by projecting and producing innovative gadgets and ammunition (special equipment for rangers and patrols, police defence purposes).
My interest also embraces the Environmental Law (Conservation). The recent groundshaking event - the murder of Cecil the Lion was a white glove, thrown to all of us, who defend and protect the animals rights and the beauty of our planet - the wildlife. As you know, Cecil, presumably, had all the needed equipment (GPS collar) but was murdered anyway... And we recently have another one example that our technology is poor to keep endangered species and wild beauty 100% safe - the death of a rare albino Bengal Tiger cub in Crimea because of the power cuts! It froze to death.. We need a serious regard on Environmental Law, Conservation, Law against poaching, according legal personnel (rangers, patrols, police), strategic centers and labs, and a strong law enforcement embodiment. This period UN leaders discuss Climate Change problems and solutions, an absolutely the same manner of framework and activity we need to achieve regarding Wildlife and Conservation.
So we know we have 4 problems to deal with: poachers, lack of education on wildlife and conservation, people with bad taste.., and weak strategical, legal and tech objects.
