Hi. I'm an engineer and product designer specializing in environmental monitoring and developmental infrastructure. I do design consulting for the World Bank, UNESCO, and other organizations and am interested in the application of technology in humanitarian and environmental contexts. My specialty is in wireless sensor networks which today is called IoT (Internet of Things). But basically, its just collecting senor data and communicating it and has been around for a long time. Luckily, that skill is useful in developing worlds, farms, and environmental and wildlife monitoring.
In my private life, I've started a communal farm called Hackerfarm with a community of techies that are interested in agriculture. I'm trying my hand at being a farmer and it's not easy. I also live on a mountain in the middle of a forest and see all types of amazing animals there. I'd like to meet them all.
Useless trivia: My profile picture was taken after I took a 6 hour van and 15 hour train from Sudan to Cairo. It would explain why I have that dead look in my eyes.
