Online citizen science platforms like iNaturalist and Macaulay Library contain a wealth of images but are hard to search using text. We are looking for ideas so we can develop the next generation of AI models that can help users to better search these image collections.

We are currently building a new dataset that consists of wildlife images combined with text descriptions. We want this dataset to be representative of the real world interesting questions that citizen scientists, ecologists, researchers, etc. want to answer.
