We have developed miniaturised proximity loggers (smallest model is ~1g) that can be used to gather high resolution social and spatial information on animal behaviour in the field. Our initial prototypes have worked in a number of different test settings now, and we are confident that the loggers do collect the data. Our next challenge is twofold - what are good sources of funding to help develop the improvements we now want to make - can anyone suggest any good ones? And what is the best way to make the loggers accessible to people? I have been considering the groupgets approach that has been so well demonstrated by the Audiomoth project, but I was wondering what peoples thoughts were? I am also cautious about the time investment that would be necessary for the different approaches (this is a passion project rather than strictly speaking part of my current position).
Thanks!

Hi Luci.
Did you ever get a response on this? I'd be interested in collaborating and helping develop out the system. We can probably assist in the manufacturing and assembly as well. Let me know if you're interested.
