Overview

BTO Acoustic pipeline is a technological solution to the recording, identification, analysis and visualization of acoustic data of bats and other nocturnal wildlife. The acoustic Pipeline has a desktop program to allow users upload recordings and a website to review and download the output. The Pipeline currently focusses on 38 species of European bat, but also identifies 13 small mammal species, 11 bush-cricket species and 2 moth species, where these are recorded as by-catch. Where recorded, birds are currently assigned to class (e.g. bird species). The identifiable species are continuously being added to the pipeline.
