Overview  

The goal of of the Matlab-based Raven-X toolset is to integrate high-performance computing (HPC) technologies and bioacoustics data-mining capabilities. Raven-X provides a hardware-independent solution, or framework, for processing large acoustic data sets (‘aka’ BIG data) to the bioacoustics community. The toolset enables commonly available multi-core computers to process large multi-channel sound archives at accelerated rates, for example, to detect and classify animal sounds or to extract noise statistics. Raven-X is designed to complement Raven Pro’s acoustic analysis functionalities.
